So, today is Christmas. I am watching a DVR edition of CNN Presents, "After Jesus: The First Christians." My thoughts are many, but the bottom line is this -- Christianity survived and prospered because Jesus did not, in writing, have offspring. Therefore, there has not been any division of the faith over which descendent is the true follower of the faith.

I believe Jesus was a good man, and I believe he would be appalled (sp) at many of the folks who profess his name.

Nevertheless, I'll show respect to a community organizer who made a difference.

Merry Christmas, Brothers and Sisters. May your day be filled with family and friends.

Blogo Must Go

While I agree that Governor Blogo of Illinios should resign, I'm not exactly sure why there is such an outrage. He wanted the person who he will appoint to pay for the appointment. This is the same thing every other politician does -- buy his or her seat. Folks, Joe Biden was the least wealthy member of the Senate, and he's worth a million. Elected politics is a rich man's game -- where else will someone pay millions during a campaign for a job that pays less than $200K?

In the military, when you relieve a Commanding Officer, you don't say "So and so did this or that." You simply say, "I have lost faith in So and So's decision-making ability."

With Blogo knowing he was under investigation, he still made the stupid statements and moves. I have lost faith in his decision-making ability.

Also, stay tuned ... me thinketh Jessie Jr doth protest too much. There is going to be some fire with that smoke. After the election of Barack Obama, I wonder how Jessie Sr. and Al Sharpton will try to paint this as a racial issue.

Welcome

Well, here we go. After little ado, I thought I would try my hand at the blog world. Will take it slow at first, but expect to see commentary on political and social issues ... almost always from a leftist point of view.

So let's get to it.

Michael Jackson. The system works. The prosecutor didn't prove the specific case, and the jurors let him walk ... even though we all know he is a child molester. I like the idea that the jurors didn't use their preconceived notions. The system works.
